The Bakhtiari region of western Iran has long been celebrated for its distinctive compartmental garden carpets, a tradition born of the Chahar Mahal valleys where semi-nomadic weavers translated the concept of paradise gardens into gridded textile form—each panel a self-contained Eden of flora and fauna.
This machine-woven bamboo silk interpretation faithfully renders the classic Kheshti (tile) format in lustrous eco-silk, presenting a symmetrical arrangement of rectangular and cartouche-shaped compartments surrounding an elaborate central medallion of burgundy and green; the ivory ground unifies panels depicting cypress trees, flowering vases, weeping willows, and dense arabesque scrollwork in a refined palette of navy blue, forest green, antique gold, and deep wine.
