Cleave draws its power from the tension between architectural precision and organic release. The design is structured around a dramatic curved threshold — a sweeping arc that bisects the field, allowing two tonal planes to press against one another without ever fully meeting.

Offset rectangular panels float at the top and base, anchored asymmetrically as though mid-composition, while a sliver of warm caramel punctuates the vertical edge like a hidden seam. The result is a motif that feels simultaneously sculpted and natural, as if carved from a single material rather than constructed from parts.

The Natural Material Advantage

Why We Refuse Synthetic Acrylic & Polyester in Custom Rugs

Most custom tufted workshops use acrylic or polyester because plastic yarn is cheap. We craft every custom commission from 100% New Zealand wool and bamboo silk.

Oleophobic vs. Lipophilic (Why Synthetics Turn Grey)

Plastic yarns bond with oils and turn traffic lanes grey; lanolin-rich wool naturally repels liquids and oils.

3D Helical Spring vs. Permanent Crushing

Wool fibres spring back after heavy furniture, whereas acrylic flattens permanently within months.

Zero Microplastics or Toxic Off-Gassing

Pure New Zealand wool and bamboo silk are biodegradable, naturally flame-resistant, and VOC-free.
