Tabriz Gombad Medallion Beige

Tabriz, the historic capital of Persian carpet weaving in northwestern Iran, has produced some of the world's most technically refined and compositionally sophisticated rugs since the Safavid era, celebrated for their curvilinear precision and masterful colour gradation. This bespoke machine-woven interpretation renders the celebrated Gombad (dome) design with faithful elegance — a radiant central medallion unfolds in concentric rings of burgundy, navy, and ivory upon a luminous champagne-beige open field that allows the intricate rosette to command full visual authority. Elaborate pendants extend from the medallion's vertical axis, while the scalloped inner border transitions through densely patterned navy spandrels alive with herati-derived boteh motifs. The border system presents exceptional complexity: a sky-blue inner guard stripe, a commanding navy primary border dense with interlocking palmettes and scrolling vines, and a distinctive lower cartouche band in coral and teal. Available made-to-order from 3×5 ft to 12×18 ft, this piece offers the gravitas of classical Persian court carpets with the practicality of viscose's silk-like lustre and durability — a composed, ceremonial presence suited to formal interiors that demand understated magnificence.
