This piece presents the canonical Tabriz medallion format with commanding clarity: a densely layered rosette medallion anchors the steel-blue field, its concentric rings of lancet petals and palmette forms radiating outward into a ground alive with herati-influenced floral arabesques rendered in champagne beige and muted burgundy accents; a pointed arch cartouche in dusty rose crowns the upper field, lending the composition an architectural gravitas characteristic of formal Tabriz workshop production.
The ivory main border carries an unbroken palmette-and-vine scroll framed by narrow reciprocal geometric guard stripes, while the outermost band introduces a repeating diamond-and-floral lattice that anchors the palette with quiet authority.
