This piece presents a bold, large-scale ikat ogee lattice across an open ivory wool ground, the design executed in a muted slate grey whose feathered, resist-dye edges lend the geometry an organic softness entirely distinct from hard-edged Western modernism; circular dot motifs punctuate the enclosed diamond fields between each undulating column, and the absence of a formal border allows the pattern to breathe fully to the selvedge, giving the rug a quietly expansive quality.
