Gabbeh rugs originate from the nomadic weaving traditions of southwestern Iran, particularly among Qashqai and Luri tribes. Known for their open fields, simple compositions, and emphasis on texture and color, Gabbeh designs celebrate understated tribal geometry.
This contemporary interpretation features a richly textured brown field with horizontal tonal variation reminiscent of natural wool abrash. A subtle grid of darker lines overlays the surface, creating a structured architectural rhythm across the rug.
