This large-format piece presents a field of warm camel-taupe populated by a dense, offset grid of rounded cartouche compartments — each one an autonomous compositional world containing cypress forms, candelabra florals, lotus clusters, and vase motifs rendered in a deliberately varied palette: no two adjacent panels share the same ground color, cycling through teal, rust, navy, ivory, sage, cobalt, and peach to produce a quilt-like chromatic rhythm that reads as both orderly and exuberant at close range.
The multi-layered border deploys reciprocal vine scroll interrupted by small animal and foliate reserves, while narrow guard stripes in geometric repeat frame the composition with authority.
