These rugs are hand-knotted in Afghanistan and Pakistan by skilled weavers who have revived traditional Samarkand design motifs featuring geometric medallions and delicate floral rosettes.
This beautiful hand-knotted Chobi Samarkand rug features an all-over repeating pattern of geometric floral rosettes and diamond medallions across a soft ivory field, creating a sophisticated monochromatic aesthetic. The delicate geometric florals in cream, beige, and pale gold create subtle tonal variation that adds depth without overwhelming the serene neutral palette. The Samarkand-inspired design showcases symmetrical placement of stylized flowers and geometric elements that echo the ancient Khotan carpets once treasured by Silk Road traders.
