The word "Chobi" means "wood" in Dari, referring to the exclusive use of vegetable dyes extracted from natural plant sources including pomegranate rinds, indigo, madder root, walnut husks, and other botanical materials. Handknotted in Pakistan, this piece features an elegant all-over botanical lattice on a deep black ground, with warm gold and ivory detailing that reads rich but refined.
