This large-format, new hand-knotted wool carpet presents a commanding medallion-and-field composition: a deeply scalloped central medallion in midnight black rises from an olive-sage ground, its shadowed interior animated by sinuous tree-of-life branches bearing delicate floral sprigs rendered in dusty gold and cream, all converging upon a softly luminous blush-rose diamond at the centre where a multi-tiered rosette serves as the focal axis.
The palette is deliberately nocturnal — the black absorbs light while the sage green creates a muted earthen contrast, and the blush interior introduces an unexpected warmth that prevents severity. The cream border, framed by terracotta guard stripes, carries an authoritative procession of palmettes, stylised cypress sprays, and circular floral medallions locked within a continuous vine scroll, providing the compositional boundary with its own quiet grandeur.
