Kashan Medallion Red

Kashan, situated in central Iran along the historic Silk Road, has produced some of Persia's most refined and technically accomplished carpets since the Safavid dynasty, celebrated for their curvilinear precision, luminous wool, and sophisticated medallion compositions that have adorned palaces and collections worldwide. This newly woven example presents a richly saturated crimson field alive with gracefully curving arabesque vines and blossoming Shah Abbasi palmettes, anchored by a lobed navy medallion containing an ivory floriated center with delicate sky blue accents and traditional pendant finials extending along the vertical axis. The quatrefoil ivory spandrels at each corner mirror the medallion's refinement, while the wide navy main border carries an elegant procession of palmettes and scrolling tendrils flanked by reciprocal pink and blue guard stripes. A carpet of formal dignity and chromatic warmth, suited to spaces demanding both heritage gravitas and vibrant visual presence.
