Kerman Medallion Ivory Blue

This antique example presents a commanding cusped and lobed central medallion rendered in muted steel blue, its field animated by ivory arabesque scrollwork of exceptional fluency — palmette rosettes, split-leaf lancets, and interlocking vine tendrils resolve into a composition of measured formal grandeur; the ivory surround is articulated through layered borders, the principal guard carrying repeating floral cartouches interspersed with sinuous vine meanders, while corner spandrels echo the medallion's lobed geometry to complete the classical Kerman quartered symmetry.
