This large-format hand-knotted wool carpet presents the canonical Tabriz Mahi composition in full authority: a deep midnight-blue field blanketed in an unbroken Mahi lattice of ivory, teal, and terracotta rosettes creates an almost luminous depth, at the centre of which a multi-lobed scalloped medallion rises in graduated dusty rose and gold, its inner cartouche rendered in ivory with a floral rosette finial extending to delicate pendants above and below.
