Afghan Mamluk Chobi All-Over Sage

The Chobi weaving tradition of northern Afghanistan — centred in and around Kunduz and the Peshawar valley workshops — draws on centuries of Central Asian court textile vocabulary, distinguished by the deliberate use of vegetable-dyed wools that yield the characteristic soft, aged palette prized by collectors and interior architects alike.
