The Peshawar Chobi tradition — rooted in the North-West Frontier workshops of Pakistan and consciously reviving classical Turkish Oushak sensibilities — is celebrated for its use of vegetable and naturally oxidised dyes that yield a distinctive washed luminosity, giving new pieces the temperament of century-old originals.

This 189x274 cm hand-knotted wool rug presents an open ivory field animated by a sweeping all-over vine-scroll composition: large botanical rosettes, palmette clusters, and serrated foliate sprays are distributed across the ground in an unhurried, almost impressionistic rhythm, with no single medallion competing for dominance.

The palette is characteristically restrained — antique ivory ground, soft lavender and dusty mauve florals, sky blue accents, sage green foliage, and warm gold ochre highlights — a combination that reads simultaneously aged and fresh. The border system is composed of a broad lavender-grey principal stripe carrying subsidiary floral meanders, bracketed by a crisp sky-blue reciprocal guard and a narrow ivory outer frame, lending structural clarity without visual weight.
