This vintage accent rug presents a classic Hamadan medallion composition: a pointed, stepped hexagonal medallion rendered in deep violet and amber floats upon an expansive madder red field populated with stylized cypress trees, tribal floral sprays, and scattered boteh-like infill motifs that animate the ground without crowding it.

Ivory corner spandrels anchor the composition with contrasting floral clusters in red, green, and navy, while a tightly drawn dark navy inner guard transitions to the main border — an ivory-ground band carrying a rhythmic procession of rosette cartouches in polychrome wool.
