The Qashqai confederacy of Fars Province, Iran, represents one of the most celebrated nomadic weaving traditions in the world — their rugs distinguished by an instinctive geometric precision, naturally dyed wool of exceptional lustre, and a visual vocabulary rooted in generations of oral pattern memory passed through the loom.

This piece presents a vertically chained composition of three boldly stepped diamond medallions, each rendered alternately against a madder red and deep midnight navy ground, creating a pulsing rhythmic structure that is unmistakably tribal in character; the field is animated throughout with latch-hook border forms, stylized palmette derivatives, small boteh-like florets, and scattered angular botanical sprays in antique gold, sage green, and dusty blue — the full palette drawn from natural dyes whose warmth and depth are hallmarks of authentic Fars province work.
