Coastal Drift

Inspired by traditional East Asian cloud motifs, this design features stylized ruyi clouds that billow and swirl along an organically sculpted edge. The curling forms reference classical depictions of auspicious clouds found in Chinese silk paintings and temple carvings, rendered here with a contemporary sensibility. The asymmetrical composition allows the decorative border to frame an expansive, meditative center, while a subtle golden atmospheric wash suggests the luminous quality of dawn or dusk breaking through mist.
