Tidal Shift

Tidal Shift draws its structural language from the natural phenomenon of sedimentary layering — horizontal bands of varying weight and opacity arranged across two overlapping rectangular fields that sit offset against one another on a clean ivory ground. The stripes themselves are deliberately imperfect, their edges softly eroded as though shaped by water or wind, graduating from deep walnut at the outer registers through warm sand and pale bone at the centre. This asymmetric doubling — one block anchored to the upper left, the other to the lower right — creates a sense of two tidal planes caught in quiet collision, a design logic that feels both ancient and rigorously considered.
