Tabriz, the historic capital of Persian weaving, has produced some of the world's most refined and technically accomplished carpets since the Safavid era, celebrated for their curvilinear precision, sophisticated color harmonies, and masterful integration of classical court designs. This new hand-knotted wool example presents a formal central medallion composition executed on a luminous ivory field, featuring an elaborately lobed burgundy medallion with layered cusps and pendant finials that anchor the eye while radiating Shah Abbasi palmettes and delicate arabesque tendrils fill the surrounding ground with restrained elegance. The palette moves through soft creams, warm beiges, and measured accents of dusty blue and gold, all contained within a rich burgundy main border densely populated with scrolling lotus and palmette motifs in the classic Tabriz tradition.
